Technologies

AVT's display and image processing products employ a number of technologies
in order to communicate with different aspects of a Display/Imaging System.

Display Clarity

Our products use the very latest display semiconductors and FPGAs to guarantee the highest standards of image quality.

System Ring

This allows Multiple Display and Imaging Modules to communicate with each other, share information and images.
The types of medium selected will depend on the customer's application. A few of the basic interfaces are listed below
:

•  Fibre – Our fibre communication ring consists of a pair of fibre cables that allow communications
of high speed data and communications between system elements.

High Density Copper – These connect multiple elements of a system together with
separate copper channels for communications and image transfer.

Ethernet – Elements can communicate via simple Gigabit Ethernet links.

Camera Connections

There are numerous different camera interfaces on our Display and Image processing systems.

Composite Video/component – Our PAL / NTSC / SECAM interfaces employ the latest in
de-interlacing/noise reduction engines to ensure excellent picture clarity.

DVI / HDMI / VGA – Most of the current PC analog and digital input formats can be interfaced.

CameraLink for high bandwidth and image quality – our Camera Link interfaces allow high resolution
and high speed images to be acquired with ease.

GiGe – Our Gigabit Ethernet interfaces comply with the GiGe Vision standard and allow multiple
high speed/quality images to be displayed and processed.

Sensor Interfaces

Our AVSen interface protocol allows multiple sensors to be combined onto a single communications channel and shared between multiple
devices. Based on the EIA 485 transmission stream extra sensors can be added with ease to expand a system's capabilities.

Multiple Image display capabilities

Using the latest in image splicing methods, multiple images can be selected and displayed on a specific monitor at the touch
of a button.
